    محمَّد الحَبِيب (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢٧٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٨٨٣ م) محمد بن جعفر بن محمد بن إسماعيل الحسيني الهاشمي الطالبي: ثالث الأئمة (المكتومين) عند الإسماعيلية. كانوا يلقبونه أو يكنون عنه بالحبيب، كتمانا لاسمه. وهو عندهم محمد الحبيب ابن جعفر المصدق بن محمد المكتوم بن إسماعيل بن جعفر الصادق. ويقول الفاطميون إنه والد عبيد اللهالمهدي صاحب الدعوة بالمغرب ومصر (١) .
