أَبُو الخَيْر عابِدين (١٢٦٩ - ١٣٤٣ هـ = ١٨٥٣ - ١٩٢٥ م) محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الغني، أبو الخير، المعروف كأسلافه بابن عابدين: فقيه حنفي. من أعيان دمشق. ولد وعاش بها. وولي مناصب متعددة، منها الإفتاء. وتوفي في بيروت، ودفن بدمشق. من كتبه (التقرير في التكرير - ط) في حكمة تكرير القصص في القرآن الكريم، رسالة، و (تحرير الأقوال في أخذ الحقوق من سائر الأعمال) (٣) .
