    المُحَسِّن بن جَعْفَر (٠٠٠ - نحو ٣٠٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٩١٢ م) المحسن بن جعفر بن علي بن محمد ابن علي بن موسى، من أحفاد الحسين السبط: شهيد، من الطالبيين. قتله بعض الأعراب في البادية، تقربا إلى العباسيين، في أيام الخليفة " المقتدر " وحملوا رأسه إلى بغداد، قائلين: إنه دعا إلى خلاف السلطان ففتلوه (٣) .
