مَثْجُور بن غَيْلان (٠٠٠ نحو ٨٥ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٧٠٥ م) مثجور بن غيْلان بن خرشة بن عمرو بن ضرار الضبي: خطيب، من العلماء بالأنساب. من أشراف أهل البصرة. كان مقدما في المنطق. له خبر مع الحجاج بن يوسف. وللقلاخ بن حزن المنقري أبيات فيه، منها: " إذا قال بذّ القائلين مقاله ... ويأخذ من أكفائه بالمخنَّق " ولجرير هجاء فيه. قتله الحجاج (٢) . المِثقَال = عبد الوهاب بن محمد ٥٠٥ المُثَقِّب العَبْدي = العائذ بن محصن (٣) .
