    مُبَشِّر بن أَحمد (٥٣٠ - ٥٨٩ هـ = ١١٣٥ - ١١٩٣) مبشر بن أحمد بن علي، أبو الرشيد الرازيّ الأصل ثم البغدادي: عالم بالحساب والفرائض. قال ابن قاضي شهبة: له مصنفات مفيدة، بالغ ابن النجار في تقريظه، وقال: كان إماماً في الجبر والمقابلة والمساحة وخواص الأعداد، صنّف في جميع ذلك، وكان شديد الذكاء شدّت إليه الرحال ويرمي بفساد العقيدة. أنفذ رسولا إلى الشام، فمات برأس عين. وقال القفطي: تميز في أيام الناصر لدين الله (الخليفة) أبي العباس أحمد، وأنفذه الخليفة في رسالة إلى الملك العادل بن أبي بكر بن أيوب عندما قصد بلاد الموصل، فلقيه على نصيبين أو دنيسر، ومات هناك (١) .
