    مانِع بن سِنَان (٠٠٠ - نحو ١٠٤٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ١٦٣٠ م) مانع بن سنان العميري: أمير. كان صاحب سمائل (في عُمان) وفي أيامه قام المؤيد اليعربي بتوحيد المملكة العمانية، فقاتله مانع، ثم صالحه مضمرا العداء. وعرف منه المؤيد ذلك، فسير إليه من قتله في حصن لؤيّ (٢) .
