    مالِك بن خُفَاف (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) مالك بن خفاف بن امرئ القيس ابن بهثة بن سليم، من قيس عجلان:جدّ جاهلي. من " الملوك " قال ابن حزم: " توجت بنو سليم مالك بن خفاف، وقتله عَبْد الله بن جذل الطعان الكناني " تفرع نسله عن ابنيه " زعب " بالعين المهملة فيما صححه ابن الأثير - في اللباب - وقد تقدم ذكره و " ذباب " بالذال المعجمة والباء الموحدة، ونزلت سلالة ذباب في المغرب، بين قابس وطرابلس، وكان منهم بجهات المدينة قوم يؤذون الحجاج ويقطعون عليهم الطريق. ومن نسل " مالك " عدة من الصحابة، أحدهم " معن بن يزيد " الآتية ترجمته (١) .
