ابن الحِدَادِيَّة (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) قيس بن منقذ بن عمرو، من بني سلول بن كعب، من خزاعة: شاعر جاهلي، كان شجاعا فاتكا، كثير الغارات. تبرأت منه " خزاعة " في سوق عكاظ، وأشهدت على أنفسها بأنها لا تحتمل جريرة له ولا تطالب بجريرة عليه، فنسب إلى أمة وهي من بني " حداد " من " محارب " حضرمية.شعره من الطبقة الثانية في عصره. وكان يهوى أم مالك بنت ذؤيب الخزاعي، وله فيها شعر بديع الصنعة. قتله بعض بني مزينة في غارة لهم (١) .
