عارِق الطَّائِي (٠٠٠ - نحو ٥٠ ق هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٥٧٥ م) قيس بن جروة بن سيف الأجئي الطائي: شاعر جاهلي. اشتهر بلقبه " عارق " لبيت من شعره:" لئن لم تغير بعض ما قد صنعتم لأنتحين للعظم ذو أنا عارقة " وكان من سكان أجأ (أحد جيلي طيِّئ، في الشمال الغربي من نجد) وإليه نسبته. اختار أبو تمام من شعره في عدة مواضع من الحماسة. وكان معاصرا لعمرو بن هند مالك الحيرة (١) . قيس ابن الحِدَادِيَّة = قيس بن منقذ
