    مُعْتَمَد الدَّوْلَة (٠٠٠ - ٤٤٤ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٥٢ م) قرواش بن المقلد بن المسيب العقيلي، من هوازن، أبو المنيع، معتمد الدولة: صاحب الموصل والكوفة والمدائن وسقي الفرات. وليها بعد مقتل أبيه (سنة ٣٩١ هـ وكان أديبا شاعرا. أحسن تدبير ملكه وسياسته، ودامت إمارته خمسين سنة. ووقع خصام بينه وبين أخيه بركة بن المقلد، فقبض عليه بركة سنة ٤٤١ وحبسه في إحدى قلاع الموصل. ثم نقله ابن أخيه قريش بن بدران بن المقلد، إلى قلعة الجراحية، من أعمال الموصل، فتوفي بها (٢) . أبُو قُرَيْحَة = ثويني بن عبد الله ١٢١٢ أبُو قُرَيْش = محمد بن جمعة ٣١٣
