فارِس بن سَامَان (٠٠٠ - ٩١٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٦١٠ م) فارس بن سامان بن زهير بن سليمان الحسيني: شريف من الولاة. وهو ابن خال الشريف محمد بن بركات (صاحب مكة) . ولاه الشريف بركات إمرة المدينة سنة ٩١٠ هـ وعزله، ثم ولاه، فأقام فيها مرضيّ السيرة إلى أن مات (١) . فارِس الضحياء = عمرو بن عامر
