عِيسى الهاشِمي (٨٣ - ١٦٤ هـ = ٧٠٢ - ٧٨٠ م) عيسى بن علي بن عبد الله بن عباس الهاشمي: من علماء العباسيين. ينسب إليه " نهر عيسى " و " قصر عيسى " و " قطيعة عيسى " ببغداد. ولد في المدينة وسكن بغداد إلى أن توفي. وهو عمّ السفاح والمنصور. كان ناسكا معتزلا الأعمال السلطانية، لم يل لأهل بيته عملا. قال الرشيد: كان عيسى بن علي راهبنا وعالمنا (٤) .
