علي مُصطفى (٠٠٠ - ١١٩٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٧٨٢ م) علي بن مصطفى بن علي بن نور الدين الحسني، ويقال له العجمي: أول من أدخل ألواح " الزجاج " و " الصيني " و " التوت الأبيض " إلى اليمن، وأول من أبر النخل بصنعاء. كان تاجرا من أهل دمشق، إيراني الأصل، سكن مكة ودخل اليمن، فحمل للامام المهدي (العباس بن الحسين) ألواحا من " الصيني " زخرف بها جدران ديوان بناه المهدي ببستان المتوكل. واستخرج نهرا في شمال صنعاء عرف بنهر مصطفى أو " غيلمصطفى " وتوفي بصنعاء (١) .
