ابن أَقبَرْس (٨٠١ - ٨٦٢ هـ = ١٣٩٨ - ١٤٥٨ م) علي بن محمد بن أقبرس: من فضلاء الشافعية. مولده ووفاته بالقاهرة. ناب في القضاء سنة ٨٢٧ وصحب السلطان الظاهر جقمق، وأصاب ثروة واسعة. له " فتح الصفا بشرح معاني ألفاظ الشفا - خ "ثلاثة أجزاء، لم يقتصر فيه على كشف معاني الألفاظ اللغوية بل تجاوزها إلى مباحث في الكلام والتفسير والأصول، قال السخاوي: فيه فوائد و " تحكيم العقول - خ " في الأزهرية، رد به على البدر الدماميني في كتابه " نزول الغيث " في نقد " الغيث المسجم للصفدي " (١) .
