الجَلَال الصَّنْعَاني (١١٦٩ - ١٢٢٥ هـ = ١٧٥٦ - ١٨١٠ م) علي بن عبد الله بن أحمد الحسني، المعروف بالجلال الصنعاني، مجتهد زيدي، [[علي بن عبد الله الجلال الصنعاني عن مخطوطة يمانية.]] مؤرخ. من أهل صنعاء نصبه المنصور (علي بن العباس) سنة ١٢١٣ هـ في جملة الحكام بالديوان، فباشر القضاء، وحمدت سيرته. من كتبه " التاريخ المختصر جعله طبقات، واستوفى فيهذكر العلماء والشعراء والملوك والكتاب، وبلغ فيه إلى سنة ٨٢٠ هـ و " الطريق الأسلم في المتشابه والمحكم " و " شرح جامع الأصول لابن الأثير " ومنظومتان في " الفرائض " و " المنطق " (١) .
