ابن أبي زَرْع (٠٠٠ - ٧٤١ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٣٤٠ م) علي بن عبد الله (أو ابن محمد) بن أحمد بن عمر ابن أَبي زَرْع الفاسي:مؤرخ. من أهل فاس. كان في زمن السلطان أبي سعيد عثمان بن يعقوب بن عبد الحق المريني، وله ألف (سنة ٧٢٦) كتابه " الأنيس المطرب القرطاس، في أخبار ملوك المغرب وتاج مدينة في أخبار ملوك المغرب وتاج مدينة فاس - ط " تُرجم الى كثير من اللغات الأوربية، و " زهرة البستان في أخبار الزمان " لا يزال في حكم المفقود. ويرجح أن من تصنيفه كتاب " الذخيرة السنية في تاريخ الدولة المرينية - ط " (١) .
