السَّيد الفَرَضي (٨٠٨ - ٨٧٠ هـ = ١٤٠٥ - ١٤٦٥ م) علي بن عبد القادر الشريف نور الدين الحسني، المعروف بالسيد الفرضيّ: عالم بالحساب. مولده ووفاته بالقاهرة. [[علي بن عبد القادر الحسني الفرضي عن الورقة ٨ من كتاب " الحاوي في الحساب " بدار الكتب المصرية " ٣٩٦٤ ج "]] له كتب، منها " الفوائد الجليلة - خ " في الأزهرية، شرح به " الوسيلة " في الحساب، لابن الهائم، و " الفوائد الربانية في شرح المبتكرات الحسابية " و " تعليقات " على كتاب " المعرفة "لابن الهائم، لم يتيسر له إفرادها في تأليف (١) .
