    لابن رِضوان (٠٠٠ - ٤٥٣ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٦١ م) علي بن رضوان بن علي بن جعفر، أبو الحسن: طبيب، رياضي، من العلماء. من أهل مصر. كان أبوه فرانا. وارتقى هو بعلمه، فاتصل بالحاكم، فجعله رأسا للأطباء. قال ابن تغري بردي: هو من كبار الفلاسفة في الإسلام له تصانيف كثيرة، فيها المترجم والموضوع، منها " حل شكوك الرازيّ على كتب جالينوس " و " المستعمل من المنطق في العلوم والصنائع " و " التوسط بين أرسطو وخصومه " و " كفاية الطبيب - خ " و " دفع مضار الأبدان - ط " رسالة، و "النافع - خ " في الطب، و " أصول الطب - خ " (٢) .[[علي رضا " باشا " الركابي]]
