    أبُو الحُرّ (٠٠٠ - ١٣٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٤٨ م) علي بن الحصين بن مالك بن الخشخاش العنبري التميمي، أبو الحر: من فقهاء الإباضية. كانت له ثروة في البصرة، سكن مكة. وجاهر فيها أيام " مروان بن محمد " بمناصرة " طالب الحق " وكان هذا قد خلع طاعة مروان، وبويع له بالخلافة في اليمن. فكتب مروان إلى عامله بمكة، يأمر بلقبض على " أبي الحر " فاعتقل وأوثق بالحديد وأشخص إلى المدينة، وهو شيخ كبير. وأدركه في الطريق بعض أنصار طالب الحق، فأنقذوه وعادوا به إلى مكة، مستترين. ولم دخلها أّبُو حَمْزَة (المختار بن عوف) كان " أبو الحر " من رجاله. وقتل في فتنته بمكة (٢) .
