العَلاء الشِّيرازي (٧٨٨ - ٨٦١ هـ = ١٣٨٦ - ١٤٥٧ م) علي بن أحمد بن محمد، العلاء الشيرازي: متصوف، من فقهاء الشافعية، له اشتغال بالتفسير. شيرازي الأصل. ولد ببغداد. وتفقه في كبره وأصبح لا يجارى في علوم الأوائل، وجاور بمكة بعيد سنة ٨٣٠ وتوفي بها. صنف كتبا، منها " جواهر المعاني في تفسير السبع المثاني - خ " بخطه في الأزهرية (١٦٧) ٢٩٣٩ فرغ منه شيئا من أول هذا الكتاب ومن تصانيف أخرى له، وقال: كان فصيحا مفوها، حسن الظاهر، وسريرته في تصوفه إلى الله (٢) .
