    ابن أَبي مُعَيْط (٠٠٠ - ٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٦٢٤ م) عقبة بن أبان بن ذكوان بن أمية بن عبد شمس: من مقدّمي قريش في الجاهلية. كنيته أبو الوليد، وكنية أبيه أبو معيط. كان شديد الأذى للمسلمين عند ظهور الدعوة، فأسروه يوم بدر وقتلوه ثم صلبوه، وهو أول مصلوب في الاسلام (٣) .
