عُطَارِد التَّمِيمي (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٦٤٠ م) عطارد بن حاجب بن زرارة التميمي: خطيب، من سراة بني تميم. قيل: وفد على كسرى في الجاهلية وطلب منه قوس أبيه، فردها عليه وكساه حلية ديباج. ولما ظهر الإسلام وفد على النبي ﷺ فكان خطيبه، واستعمله على صدقات بني تميم. وارتدّ بعد وفاة النبي ﷺ وتبع سجاح. ثم عاد إلى الإسلام وقال في سجاح:" أضحت نبيتنا أنثى يطاف بها ... وأصبحت أنبياء الناس ذكرانا! " (١) .
