عَسَّامَة المَعَافِري (٠٠٠ - ١٧٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٩٢ م) عسّامة بن عمرو بن علقمة المعافري، أبو داجن: أمير مصر. مولده ووفاته بها. ولي شرطتها عدة مرات. واستخلفه موسى بن مصعب على إمارتها نيابة. وقتل مصعب (سنة ١٦٨) فأقرّه المهدي العباسي أمير عليها. ثم عزل بعد ثلاثة أشهر وأيام. وأعيد إلى ولايتها بالنيابة، وأقيل. وكان من ذوي الرأي والشجاعة (١) . العَسْقَلاني (ابن حجر) : أحمد بن علي ٨٥٢ العَسْقَلاني = أحمد بن إبراهيم ٨٧٦ ابن عَسْكَر = عبد الرحيم بن عمر ٥٨٠ ابن عَسْكَر = محمد بن علي ٦٣٦ ابن عَسْكَر = عبد الرحمن بن محمد ٧٣٢
