    العجل بن نُعَيْر (٠٠٠ - ٨١٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٤١٣ م) العجل بن نعير بن حيار بن مهنا، من بني فضل بن ربيعة، من طيِّئ: أمير عرب الفضل بالشام والعراق. ونشأ في حجر عن طاعته، ووالى نائب حلب، وكان هذا على عداء مع أبيه. واستمر عجل في خدمته، فآلت إلى إمارة " الفضل " بعد مقتل أبيه (سنة ٨٠٨ هـ ثم حدثت بينه وبين نائب حلب نفرة، فخرج عجل إلى البادية ثائرا، فلم يزل يقاتل إلى أن قتل، وهو في نحو الثلاثين من عمره. قيل: اسمه يوسف ونعير لقبه (٢) . ابن عَجْلان = أحمد بن عجلان ٧٨٨ ابن عَجْلان = محمد بن أحمد ٧٨٨ ابن عَجلان = علي بن عجلان ٧٩٧
