    أبُو الفَرَج الشِّيرازي (٠٠٠ - ٤٨٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٩٣ م) عبد الواحد بن محمد بن علي الشيرازي ثم المقدسي ثم الدمشقيّ، أبو الفرج الأنصاري السعدي العبادي الخزرجي: شيخ الشام في وقته. حنبلي. أصله من شيراز. تفقه ببغداد، وسكن بيت المقدس واستقر في دمشق، فنشر مذهب الإمام ابن حنبل. من كتبه " المنتخب " في الفقه، مجلدان، و " المبهج " و " الإيضاح " و " التبصرة " في أصول الدين. ويقال أن له كتاب " الجواهر " في التفسير. توفي بدمشق وكانت ذريته فيها تعرف ببيتابن الحنبلي (١) .
