    عبد المطلب بن غَالِب (١٢٠٩ - ١٣٠٣ هـ = ١٧٩٤ - ١٨٨٥ م) عبد المطب بن غالب بن مساعد الحسني: من أمراء مكة. مولده ووفاته فيها. ولي إمارتها سنة ١٢٤٣ هـ وعزل عنها بعد خمسة أشهر، فتوجه إلى الشرق ثم إلى الاستانة، فأقام إلى سنة ١٢٦٧ هـ فأعيد إلى إمارة مكة، فاستمر بها إلى سنة ١٢٧٢ فوقعت فتنة بمكة كان سببها منع بيع الرقيق، فعزلته حكومة الترك، فقصد الآستانة ومكث إلى سنة ١٢٩٧ فأدعاته حكومتها إلى الإمارة فاستمر إلى سنة ١٢٩٩ هـ وفصل عنها بعد أن وليها ثلاث مرات مجموع مدتها ثماني سنين (٢) .
