    عَبد الله نصْرَتْ (١٢٦٨ - ١٣٢٩ هـ = ١٨٥٢ - ١٩١١ م) عبد الله نصرت " باشا ": مهندس مصري، تعلم بالمدرسة الحربية. ودرّس فيها الرياضيات والكيمياء والطبيعة. واكتشف حجر " الإسمنت " الطبيعي في تلال العباسية بالقاهرة، سنة ١٨٨٢ م، ومنجما " للذهب " فيها، ومحابر " للجير المائي " وحجر " الكوبلت " ومحجرا " للرخام " في السودان، وحجر " المصيص " في أماكن مختلفة بمصر، وكان يرافق الخديوي عباس خلمي في بعض أسفاره، [[عبد الله نصرت]]وهو يوالي البحث. واستنبط " طريقة " لاستخراج الماء للثكنات بأربع سواقي اخترعها وبناها على أسلوب خاص. وتوفي بالقاهرة (١) .
