    عَزُّوز الحَفْصى (٧٦١ - ٨٣٧ هـ = ١٣٦٠ - ١٤٣٤ م) عبد العزيز بن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي بكر الحفصي الهنتاتي، أبو فارس، المعروف بعزوز:من كبار الحفصيين ملوك تونس. بويع بعد وفاة أبيه (سنة ٧٩٦) وحسنت سيرته. وكان موفقا حازما، فيه بأس ورفق وديانة وجود. وله آثار في تونس. قال صاحب الخلاصة النقية: " درة سلك الحفصيين ومجدّد ملكهم " ولم تخل أيامه من فتن وفق إلى قمعها. وضم إلى بلاده مديني تلمسان وفاس. وغزا مالطة، فانتقضت تلمسان، فخرج لها، فتوفي فجأة بقرب جبل ونشريس (من أعمال تلمسان) وكانت ولايته ٤٠ سنة و ٤ أشهر وأياما (١) .
