ابن المَشْهُور (١٢٥٠ - ١٣٢٠ هـ = ١٨٣٤ - ١٩٠٢ م) عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن حسين المشهور، من آل السقاف: مفتي حضرموت وفقيهها في عصره. ولد وتفقه ودرّس وتوفي في (تريم) له (الشجرة العلوية الكبرى) قيل: عشرة مجلدات ضخمة، ومختصرات في (الفقه) و (تاريخ حضرة السقاف - خ) في مكتبة الكاف ببلدة سيون (بحضرموت) ٧٨ ورقة، و (شمس الظهيرة في أنساب السادة العلوية بحضرموت - خ) أربع مجلدات في مكتبة الحبشي بالغرفة (باليمن) طبعت مقدمته (١) .
