    المتنبي الأندلسي (٠٠٠ - بعد ٥٠٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - بعد ١١٠٦ م) عبد الجبار الشقري، أبو طالب أو أبو الوليد، المعروف بالمتنبي: شاعر أندلسي، من أهل جزيرة (شقر) القريبة من شاطبة. شعره رقيق، منه (أرجوزة - ط) طويلة في تاريخ الأندلس والمغرب، بلغ بها أمير المسلمين علي بن يوسف بن تاشفين (المتولي سنة ٤٩٥ - ٥٣٧) وردتكاملة في كتاب (الذخيرة) القسم الأول، المجلد ٢ ص ٤٠٥ - ٤٣١ (١) .
