    عَبْد بن عَلْيان (٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠ = ٠٠٠ - ٠٠٠) عبد بن عليان بن أَرْحَب بن الدُّعام الهمدانيّ، من بكيل: جدّ جاهلي يماني. بنوه بطون كثيرة من (أرحب) منهم (النعوج) بنو نعج بن عميرة بن عبد، وآل (الدعام بن إبراهيم) وآل (مر بنربيعة بن عبد منصور) و (الحميدات) أبناء حميد بن عمرو بن محمد بن قيس، و (الأداهم) أبناء أدهم بن حميد بن عمرو، و (الغثيمات) أبناء غثيم بن عمرو ابن محمد بن قيس، و (الطوارق) أبناء طارق بن أدهم، ومن هؤلاء المؤرخ الهمدانيّ، و (الأقافع) أبناء الأقفع عبد الله بن قيس، و (بنو زنباع) و (بنو منبه) (١) .
