عَبَّاد بن محمد (٠٠٠ - ١٩٨ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٨١٣ م) عباد بن محمد بن حيان البلخي، أبو نصر، من موالي كندة: والٍ. من ضحايا فتنة الأمين والمأمون. كانت إقامته بمصر، ووليها للمأمون سنة ١٩٦ هـ فأقام بالفسطاط. وكتب الأمين إلى ربيعة ابن قيس الحوفي بالولاية على مصر، وأن يحارب عبّادا، فنشبت معارك بين الأميرين وأنصارهما انتهت بالقبض على عباد وإرساله إلى الأمين، فقتله ببغداد (٢) .
