الضَّيْزَن السَّلِيحي (٠٠٠ - نحو ٣٠٤ ق هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٣٢٧ م) الضيزن بن معاوية بن العبيد السليحي القضاعي: ملك جاهلي، قديم. كان مذكورا بالبأس والمنعة، تخافه أقيال العرب وملوكها. ملك الجزيرة إلى الشام، ووالى الروم، وقاوم الفرس. وأبقى آثارا منها العريسات (بين الكوفة والقادسية) وكانت تسمى (طَيزناباذ) محرفة عن (ضَيزن آباد) ومعناها بالفارسية (عمارة ضيزن) . ويقال: إنه هو باني (الحُضر) في الجزيرة. قتله فيه سابور ذو الأكتاف (٢) . ابن الضَّيف = حيدرة بن عبد الظاهر ضيف (المصري) = محمود ضيف ١٣٤٦ ضَيف = أحمد بن علي ١٣٦٤
