الصَّمِيل بن حَاتِم (٠٠٠ - ١٤٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٥٩ م) الصميل بن حاتم بن شمر بن ذي الجوشن الضبابي: شيخ المضرية في الأندلس، وأحد الأمراء الدهاة الشجعان الأجواد. قدم الأندلس في أمداد الشام أيام بني أمية، فرأس بها. وأساء إليه عاملها أبو الخطار، فثار أصحاب الصميل وقبضوا على أبي الخطار، وولوا ثوابةابن سلامة، ثم غيره، والسلطة والنفود للصميل. وأقام على ذلك إلى أن دخل الأندلس عبد الرحمن الأموي، فمات الصميل في سجنه. وكان أميا، وله شعر (١) .
