شَيْبَة بن رَبِيَعة (٠٠٠ - ٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٦٢٤ م) شيبة بن ربيعة بن عبدشمس: من زعماء قريش في الجاهلية. أدرك الإسلام، وقتل على الوثنية. وهو أحد الذين نزلت فيهم الآية: (كَما أَنْزَلْنا على المقتسمين) وهم سبعة عشر رجلا، من قريش، اقتسموا عقبات مكة في بدء ظهور الإسلام، وجعلوا دأبهم في أيام موسم الحج أن يصدوا الناس عن النبي ﷺ ولما كانت وقعة بدر، حضرها شيبة مع مشركيهم، ونحر تسع ذبائح لإطعام رجالهم، وقتل فيها (١) .
