الشَّمْس الفَرْغَلي (٠٠٠ - ١٢١٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٧٩٥ م) شمس الدين بن عبد الله بن فتحالفرغلي السبربائي، ينتهي نسبه إلى محمد ابن الحنفية: فقيه، له اشتغال بفن الميقات والتقاويم، من أهل سبرباي (قرب طنطا بمصر) ونسبته الثانية إليها. ولد بها وولي نيابة القضاء، وتوفي فيها. من كتبه (الضوابط الجلية في الأسانيد العلية - خ) في خزانة الرباط (١٤٦٢ كتاني) و (الزايرجة) وأراجيز أرخ بها بعض حوادث عصره (١) . شَمْس المُلْك = نصر بن إبراهيم ٤٩٢
