    شَفِيق طَبَّارة (١٣٢٢ - ١٣٩٣ هـ = ١٩٠٤ - ١٩٧٣ م) شفيق بن حسن بن حسين بن محيي الدين طبارة: باحث لبناني مغربي الأصل. مولده ووفاته في بيروت. تعلم بها وحاز شهادة العلوم التجارية بالمراسلة. وسافر تاجرا إلى البصرة فأقام تسع سنوات. وعاد إلى بيروت مدرسا وتولى أمانة السر للمؤتمر الوطني بها (سنة ١٩٤٣ م) وألف كتبا طبع منها (آل طبارة) في تاريخ أسرته و (الرقص في لبنان عبر العصور) و (الإمام الأوزاعي) في سيرته وتعاليمه.وجمع مقالات له نشرتها الصحف في صباه، سماها (الأدب الفكاهي) ولا تزال مخطوطة (١) .
