ابن الجَوْن (٠٠٠ - ٦٥٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٢٥٤ م) سليمان بن موسى بن سليمان بن علي ابن الجَوْن الأَشعري نسبا الزبيدي بلدا، أبو الربيع: فقيه حنفي، عارف باللغة والأدب. من أهل اليمن. كانت إقامته في زبيد، فرحل إلى الحبشة، فمات في قرية يقال لها (رون) . من كتبه (الرياض الأدبية - خ) في المتحف البريطاني وهو شرح للمقصورة التاريخية (الخمر طاشية) في تاريخ اليمن القديم من نظم ابن الحسنابن خمرطاش الزبيدي المتوفى سنة ٥٥٤ هـ (١) .
