سُلَيمان الصَّائِغ (١٣٠٣ - ١٣٨١ هـ = ١٨٨٦ - ١٩٦١ م) سليمان الصائغ: مطران باحث، له اشتغال بالتأريخ. عراقي، من أهلالموصل تعلم في معاهدها الدينية ونال درجة الكهنوت (١٩٠٨) وتولى تحرير مجلة (النجم) البطريركية وإدارتها مدة ١٥ سنة وسيم مطرانا (١٩٥٤) وكان من أعضاء المجمع العلمي العراقي المراسلين. صنف (تاريخ الموصل - ط) ثلاثة أجزاء، وكتاب (يزداند وخت أو الشريفة الإربيلية - ط) من تاريخ العراق أيام الساسانيين. ووضع قصصا مسرحية، طبع بعضها، منها (الفضيلة) و (الزباء) و (الاميرالحمداني) (١) .
