    سعيد بن حميد (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢٥٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٦٨٤ م) سعيد بن حميد بن سعيد، أبو عثمان: كاتب مترسل، من الشعراء. أصله من النهروان الأوسط، من أبناء الدهاقين.ومولده ببغداد، ثم كان يتنقل في السكنى بينها وبين سامراء. وقلده المستعين العباسي ديوان رسائله. أكثر أخباره مناقضات له مع فضل الشاعرة. وشعره رقيق، كان ينحو فيه منحى ابن أبي ربيعة وأضرابه وجمع معاصرنا يونس بن أحمد السامرائي البغدادي، ما وجد من (رسائله وأشعاره - ط) (١) .
