السَّيِّدة زَيْنَب (٠٠٠ - ٦٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٦٨٢ م) زينب بنت الإمام علي بن أبي طالب: شقيقة الحسن والحسين. تزوجها ابن عمها عبد الله بن جعفر بن أبي طالب. فولدت لهبنتا تزوجها الحجاج بن يوسف. وحضرت زينب مع أخيها الحسين وقعة كربلاء، وحملت مع السبايا إلى الكوفة، ثم إلى الشام. وكانت ثابتة الجنان، رفيعة القدر، خطيبة، فصيحة، لها أخبار (١) .
