ابن سارُوج (٥١٨ - ٦١٣ هـ = ١١٢٤ - ١٢١٦ م) حمزة بن أحمد، أبو الغنائم النيليّ العراقيّ، ابن ساروج: كاتب، من الشعراء. ولد بالنيل (من قرى الكوفة بالعراق) وسكن بغداد. ورحل إلى الشام وبلاد الترك: ومدح الملوك والأمراء. له رسائل ومكاتبات. ذكره العماد في الخريدة، وكان معاصرا له. توفي ببغداد (٢) .
