حَكَم الوادي (٠٠٠ - نحو ١٨٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٧٩٦ م) حكم بن ميمون، أو ابن يحيى بن ميمون: مغنّ، من الطبقة الأولى في عصره. أصله من الموالي، أعتق الوليد ابن عبد الملك أباه، ونشأ حكم ينقل الزيت على الجمال بالأجرة من الشام إلى المدينة. وأولع بصناعة الغناء فكان ينقر بالدفّ ويغني مرتجلا، فاتصل ببني العباس في خلافة المنصور وانقطع إليهم، فاشتهر، وأصاب مالا وافرا وحظوة. وطالت مدة حياته، أدرك الوليد بن عبد الملك، وغنّاه، وأدرك هارون الرشيد وغناه (٢) .
