الحُصَيْن بن ضِرَار (٠٠٠ - ٣٦ هـ ٠٠٠ - ٦٥٦ م) الحصين بن ضرار بن عمرو بن مالك الذهليّ الضبيّ: فارس من سادات ضبّة. عاش زمنا في الجاهلية، وأدرك الإسلام، وحصر وقعة (الجمل) وقد ناهز المئة، فكان مع أُمّ المُؤْمِنِين عائشة. وقتل بين يديها، فكانت تقول: (ما زال رأس الجمل معتدلا حتى فقدتُ صوت الحصين ابن ضرار!) (٢) .
