الحصين بن حمام (٠٠٠ - نحو ١٠ ق هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٦١٢ م) الحصين بن حمام بن ربيعة المريّ الذبيانيّ، أبو يزيد: شاعر فارس جاهلي كان سيد بني سهم بن مرة (من ذبيان) ويلقب (مانع الضيم) في شعره حكمة. وهو ممن نبذوا عبادة الأوثان في الجاهلية. مات قبيل ظهور الإسلام، وقيل: أدرك الإسلام. له (ديوان شعر) (١) .
