ابن زَيْلَة (٠٠٠ - ٤٤٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٤٨ م) الحسين بن محمد - أو ابن طاهر - ابن زيلة، أبو منصور: حكيم، عالم بالرياضيات، ماهر في الموسيقى، عارف بالأدب، حسن الإنشاء. أصفهانيّ الأصل والمولد. كان من خواصّ تلاميذ الرئيس ابن سينا. من كتبه (النفس) و (شرح رسالة حي بن يقظان) لابن سينا، وهي غير رسالة ابن الطفيل، و (الاختصار من طبيعيات الشفاء) لابن سينا و (الكافي في الموسيقى - ط) مات قبل الكهولة (٢) .
