حُسَيْن المالِكِي (١٢٢٢ - ١٢٩٢ هـ = ١٨٠٧ - ١٨٧٥ م) حسين بن إبراهيم بن حسين بن عابد المالكي، ويعرف في مصر بالأزهري:فقيه، كان مفتي المالكية بمكة. مغربي الأصل ينتسب إلى قبيلة في طرابلس الغرب يقال لها (العصور) تعلم في الأزهر. وقدم مكة بعيد سنة ١٢٤٠ فقرّبه أميرها الشريف محمد بن عون وولاه الخطابة والإمامة في المسجد الحرام. ثم تولى الإفتاء (١٢٦٢) إلى أن توفي. له كتب، منها (توضيح المناسك - ط) و (رسالة - ط) في مصطلح الحديث و (شرح - ط) لها (١) .
