    ابن داود الحِلِّي (٦٤٧ - ٧٤٠ هـ = ١٢٤٩ - ١٣٣٨ م) الحسن بن علي بن داود، تقيّ الدين، المعروف بابن داود الحلي: صاحب كتاب (الرجال - ط) في علماء الإمامية، وهو مما لا يعتمد عليه، لكثرة أغلاطه فيه. ختمه بترجمة لنفسه ذكر فيها نحو ثلاثين كتابا من تأليفه. ولكن الخوانساريّ قال: أما نحن فلم نظفر منها بغير كتاب واحد سماه (الجوهرة) (٢) .
