    النَّقيب ابن زُهْرَة (٥٦٤ - ٦٢٠ هـ = ١١٦٨ - ١٢٢٣ م) الحسن بن زهرة بن الحسين بن زهرة ابن علي بن محمد العلويّ الحسني، أبو علي، النقيب: كاتب مترسل، من السفراء له نظم. مولده ووفاته بحلب. كتب الإنشاء للملك الظاهر غازي ابن السلطان صلاح الدين. وتقدم عنده. وولي في أيامه نقابة العلويين بحلب. وأنفذ رسولا إلى العراق، ومرة إلى سلطان الروم، ومرة إلى صاحب الموصل، ومرة إلى الملك العادل ومرة إلى صاحب إربل. ولما توفي الظاهر، طلب لوزارة ولده العزيز، فاستعفى. قال الذهبي كان نقيب حلب ورئيسها ووجيهها وعالمها (٣) .
