حَبِيب بن المُهَلَّب (٠٠٠ - ١٠٢ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٢٠ م) حبيب بن المهلب بن أبي صفرة: أحد شجعان العرب وأشرافهم في العصر المرواني. كانت له ولاية (كرمان) وعزله الحجاج عنها سنة ٨٧ هـ ثم صحب أخاه يزيد بن المهلب في أعماله وغزواته، وقتل معه في خروجه بالعراق على يزيد بن عبد الملك. ويقال: من كلام حبيب لبنيه: (لا يقعدن أحدكم في السوق، فان كنتم لابد فاعلين، فإلى زرّاد أو سرّاج أو وراق) (٣) .
